Chiropractic Son Super Bowl MVP Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers

What Do Super Bowl MVP Green Bay Packers Q.B. Aaron Rodgers and Fitness Pioneer Jack Lalanne Have in Common?

Green Bay Packers Quarter Back Aaron Rodgers and Jack Lalanne are huge chiropractic advocates.  Actually, Aaron Rodgers dad is a chiropractor in Chico, California and Jack Lalanne was a Doctor of Chiropractic himself.  Chiropractic has developed so much over the years from its founding in 1895 by D.D. Palmer.  I like how Jack Lalanne described how far chiropractic has come over the years, especially with the medical community: “Chiropractors and Medical Doctors used to fight like cats and dogs, now they actually refer patients to one another.”  That’s just one of the big advancements in chiropractic; acceptance by more and more medical professionals.  Jack also emphasized the importance of keeping the back in proper spinal alignment so that no nerves are being pinched.  ”The muscles of the back need to be symmetrical from side to side.  If one muscle is tighter on one side compared to the other, it is going to pull the vertebrae towards the tighter side which can cause pinching of the nerve.”  It’s refreshing to see numerous amounts of people getting the “big picture” and taking their health seriously by incorporating chiropractic into their lifestyle.

What’s even more refreshing for myself, and as I told a patient yesterday, is when I convert a non-believer of chiropractic to an extreme believer in chiropractic!  I’m not doing any brainwashing, telling of lies, the only thing I am doing is delivering the chiropractic adjustment and their bodies do the healing.  I can’t count the number of patients that have told me what their lives were like before chiropractic (taking all of the pain medications, whether prescribed or non-prescribed), and what their lives are like now with chiropractic on a regular basis (no pain medications, a healthier diet, a corrected spine, and no symptoms).

So, is Aaron Rodgers one of the only NFL players that “is in” to chiropractic?  No!  I have personally been able to help an ex-San Francisco 49′er with severe low back pain, and another patient that has frequented our office in the past is Steve Grogan, ex-quarter back for the New England Patriots.  New Orleans Saints 2006 first round pick, Reggie Bush, has been receiving regular chiropractic care since playing football in high school and his collegiate years.  ”I look at Chiropractic care as important to keeping me healthy and at the top of my game.”  2010 Hall Of Fame inductee Jerry Rice, who is a spokes person for the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating the public of the many benefits associated with chiropractic care.  ”I did a lot of things to stay in the game, but regular visits to my chiropractic made all of the difference”, Jerry Rice says.  All 32 teams in the NFL have either one or several Chiropractic Physicians on staff.  The need for chiropractic care in the NFL has been driven by the players desire for optimum performance, and not just for treating injuries.

The good news is that you don’t have to be a professional athlete to receive chiropractic care, but you do have to want to make an investment in your health and want to create a healthier lifestyle.  It doesn’t matter if you have extreme pain or no pain at all, chiropractic allows you to live life to the fullest.

Yours in Health,
